Moving a Ferrari
without a mark.
A 488, an F8, a 296 or an SF90 has a front splitter that a ramp will catch and a body that a strap hook should never touch. Brandt loads Ferraris on a lift-gate and straps them by the wheels, in a sealed trailer, with the same specialist at both ends.
What a Ferrari needs from a trailer
Level loading, first. The car is raised on the lift-gate and rolled in flat, so the splitter and the diffuser never meet the ground at an angle. If the car has a nose lift, it goes up before the approach and stays up until the car is in position. Inside, soft loops go around the wheels, never onto the chassis, the suspension or any carbon aero. The trailer is hard-sided and sealed, and the load is photographed before the doors close.
Before pickup
- A Ferrari draws on its battery when parked; keep it on the tender until the day and tell the specialist whether the tender needs to travel
- About a quarter tank of fuel
- Wheel-lock key, and any covers, Classiche binders or spare parts travel with you, not loose in the car
- A wrap or paint protection film is fine; say so, and the straps and pads are chosen for it
- For a track or Challenge car, tell us whether it runs and how it is loaded
Where they go
Dealer transfers, purchases coming home, auction consignments to Scottsdale and Monterey, track weekends at Circuit of the Americas, and deliveries for Formula 1 week in Austin. Most Ferrari moves ride shared with a small number of other cars; a private trailer is the choice when the date is fixed or the car is the point.

Do you use the nose lift when loading a Ferrari?
Yes, when the car has one. The lift goes up before the lift-gate approach and stays up until the car is positioned and strapped. On cars without a lift the gate is set level and the approach is planned so the splitter clears. Tell the specialist which model it is and the plan is ready before the trailer arrives.
Will the straps touch the carbon fibre?
No. Brandt straps by the wheels with soft loops. Nothing is hooked to the chassis, the suspension arms, the splitter or the diffuser. That is the standard for every car on the trailer and the reason a Ferrari can travel next to other cars without contact.
Can you move a Ferrari that does not run?
Tell the specialist at quote. A car that does not start or steer is loaded differently and is confirmed before the trailer is assigned. Project cars and auction purchases that have sat for a while are normal work when the plan is made in advance.
