Monterey Car Week.
Delivered to the peninsula.
For one week in August the Monterey Peninsula holds the Pebble Beach Concours, The Quail, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca and the auctions that go with them. Every car there had to arrive by a date, and most of them arrived enclosed.
How the week works
Auction consignments have a delivery deadline and paperwork that must be in order on arrival. Concours entries need to arrive with no new miles and no new marks. Cars bought during the week need to leave with a new owner's address on the order. Brandt runs all three on private trailers, so the dates hold, and works to the schedule the auction house, the concours or the buyer sets.
Getting onto the peninsula
The roads into Monterey, Carmel and Pebble Beach are narrow, busy and controlled during the week. Deliveries are scheduled to the hour with the venue or the host, staged nearby when the address is not ready, and handed over with the condition report signed by whoever receives the car. The specialist sorts the details out before the trailer leaves Texas.
After the sale
A car sold at Monterey often has a new home a long way from California. Brandt delivers it there, enclosed, on the same basis: one specialist, a condition report at both ends, $1M+ cargo insurance with the certificate sent before pickup. Los Angeles, Scottsdale, Las Vegas and Texas are all on Brandt's regular lanes from the coast.
Questions on this
Can you deliver a car to an auction house in Monterey?
Yes. Consignments are delivered by the deadline the auction house sets, with the paperwork it needs, and the condition report is signed by its receiving staff. Tell the specialist which sale and the consignment details when you request the quote.
How early should Monterey transport be booked?
As soon as the entry or the consignment is confirmed. Private trailers for the week are assigned early and the delivery windows on the peninsula are tight. Late bookings are sometimes possible, but the choice of days is not.
Can you deliver a car I buy at Monterey to Texas?
Yes, and to anywhere else in the fifty states. Purchases are collected from the auction house or the seller when release is confirmed, photographed, and delivered enclosed to the address on the order. The Los Angeles and Scottsdale lanes run back toward Texas all year.
